breathe, hold, mask, repeat...

memories flooding my head, they are persistent...

Atlas Amspoker is my own OC. I've had him for a few years, and he's quite important to me. I've written the most lore and music for him out of any of my characters. He has several pieces of art and even a couple of animations. Currently, he's one of the main characters in my original series, "DIGITOMO!".

"26 years old. Atlas lives a solitary life— he lives alone, and works overnights as a grocery store manager. He has a hard time trusting, opening up to, and interacting with people— all the more reason he's so caught off guard when Marron comes into his life. Atlas is used to spending his days in solitude, and all of a sudden, he's got a roommate that crawled out of his PC."

Atlas comes from a background of struggle, strife, and isolation. After the divorce of his parents, his mother couldn't stand to look at him; he looked too much like his father, Adam. As such, all of her attention went to Atlas's twin, Apollo, who was often in and out of hospital as a child. Atlas was the "glass child"; this left ample opportunity for his abuser, Cygnus Shirotori, to befriend and take advantage of him. The two grew up together with a closeness that couldn't be defined by a simple "relationship" label; Atlas's boundaries were often tested and crossed. Atlas made the decision to cut ties at age 19, when an incident between the two left Atlas's face scarred. Cygnus remains obsessed, in the background.

Atlas, nowadays, lives a mostly solitary life. Before Marron crawled out of his computer, he spent his time alone. Going to and from work at his overnight management job, keeping to himself. In part because of the hyperindependence he'd developed before meeting Cygnus, but also because he never wants to be taken advantage of again. Though he's not malicious or mean in any way, he often comes off as cold, as he has a hard time identifying and expressing his own emotions.

Beneath that cold exterior, Atlas is...painfully awkward. He's autistic, and tends to miss social cues or sarcastic remarks quite often. He's doing his best. Maybe Marron and the rest of his peers can slowly melt that icy exterior; but Atlas is afraid of their warmth spiraling into an ever burning wildfire.

Atlas used to be a Creepypasta OC shipped with Brian from Marble Hornets. This is no longer canon, but you can still access music and content from this era.
